What we build, plant and set up

Five jobs, from a single bed to a plan for the whole yard. Each one starts with the same walk through your yard.

Raised beds

Cedar or galvanized steel beds, built level on your slope, filled with a topsoil and compost blend and set up with a drip line.

  • Low, standard or tall frames

  • Sized to your sun and your hose

  • Soil delivered by the cubic yard

Edible landscaping

Blueberries, figs, rosemary, thyme and other plants that feed you and still look like a front yard. We choose for Atlanta's heat and clay and the sun you have.

  • Fruit shrubs and small trees

  • Herb borders and edible hedges

  • Plants chosen for zone 8

Drip watering and soil

A timer, a drip line and a bed that holds its water. We'll also help you read a soil test from your county extension office.

  • Drip lines on a timer

  • Compost and mulch

  • Soil test help

Seasonal planting

We come on the calendar, pull what's finished and plant what's next: greens in fall, tomatoes after the last frost.

  • Planting visits by season

  • Seedlings chosen with you

  • A care sheet at each visit

Garden plans

A drawn plan for the whole yard: beds, paths, fruit, and where the kids and the dog still get to run.

  • A scaled sketch

  • A plant list for each bed

  • Phasing, if you'd rather build over two seasons

What we leave to others

Three jobs we don't take

We'd rather say so now than hand you off halfway through.

  • Spraying

We don't apply pesticides. For bug or disease trouble, your county extension office is the place to start.

  • Tree removal

We plant fruit trees, but we don't take down or trim big trees. A tree service can do that before we start.

  • Fences and decks

We build beds, not structures. We'll work around a fence or deck you already have.

Not sure where to start?

Tell us about the yard, and we'll walk it with you and say what we'd build first.
